Mexican national pleads guilty to laundering $4 million in drug proceeds through cryptocurrency
Carlos Erick Vazquez Gonzalez, 48, pleaded guilty to conspiring to launder approximately $4 million in drug trafficking proceeds from the United States back to Mexico using cryptocurrency. He worked with money brokers and the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, earning $40,000 for his role, and faces up to 20 years in prison.
