Antibody patterns predict inflammatory bowel disease up to 10 years before diagnosis
A large-scale study presented at UEG Week 2026 has identified distinct antibody patterns in blood that can predict the onset of inflammatory bowel disease up to a decade before clinical diagnosis. The research raises hopes for earlier detection and intervention for IBD, which includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
