UN Security Council extends Haiti gang suppression force mandate through March 2027
The UN Security Council voted to extend the mandate of the international security force in Haiti by six months to continue fighting armed gangs that control much of the country. The force currently operates at just 30 percent of its intended staffing levels as violence continues.
