EU regulators question Binance's use of reverse solicitation exemption after MiCA license failure
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and national regulators in France, Germany, and Greece are scrutinizing Binance's reliance on a reverse solicitation legal exemption to continue serving EU customers after the exchange failed to secure authorization under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. The exemption allows firms to serve clients who initiate contact without the firm actively marketing to them.
