US and Venezuela negotiate deal for American access to oil reserves
The Trump administration announced a deal to secure long-term access to a portion of Venezuela's massive oil reserves, with the US taking majority control of more than 65 billion barrels. The agreement comes as US strategic reserves have fallen to 40-year lows.
