Philippines raises alert level at Mayon volcano after explosive eruption
The Philippines raised the alert level at Mayon volcano in Albay province on Friday after a moderately explosive eruption lasting nearly six minutes sent an ash column approximately 3,000 meters into the sky. Mayon is one of the country's most active volcanoes.
