Uniswap, a16z and DeFi Education Fund seek exemptions from Illinois crypto tax rules
Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, Uniswap Labs, and the DeFi Education Fund are urging Illinois regulators to revise proposed cryptocurrency tax regulations, seeking to exclude wallet withdrawals and bridging from taxation and remove private-key recordkeeping requirements. The groups warn the current rules could effectively ban DeFi operations in the state.
