UAE pardons Egyptian dissident Abdul Rahman al-Qaradawi after 10-year prison sentence

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan pardoned Egyptian opposition activist and poet Abdul Rahman Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who was sentenced last month to 10 years in prison and fined 200,000 dirhams. The Egyptian-Turkish national had been extradited to the UAE under an arrest warrant from the Arab Interior Ministers Council.
