Blue Dog Coalition proposes bill to ban presidential pocket rescissions
Moderate Democrats in the Blue Dog Coalition are proposing legislation to overhaul the budget process and prevent presidents from unilaterally cutting previously approved federal spending through pocket rescissions. The proposal comes after President Trump recently cut $810 million in federal spending he had previously authorized.
