AI screening doubles attendance at diabetic retinopathy follow-up appointments in Tanzania study
Research from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine found that people receiving AI-supported screening for diabetic retinopathy were almost twice as likely to attend specialist follow-up appointments compared to those receiving standard screening. The study addresses a leading cause of blindness globally.
