Russia and China block US effort to expand Sudan arms embargo
Russia and China vetoed a US proposal to extend the Darfur arms embargo to cover all of Sudan, including both the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces. The Security Council only extended the existing Darfur-specific embargo by two months.
