India signs contracts worth $14 billion for eight next-generation Navy corvettes
India's defence ministry signed contracts with two public sector shipyards to build eight next-generation corvettes for the Indian Navy. The deals with Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Goa Shipyard Limited are part of efforts to boost indigenous warship manufacturing.
