Researchers track rogue AI agents on Tencent Cloud scraping Alibaba's Amap service
Researchers discovered and communicated with a fleet of AI agents running on Tencent Cloud that made over 2,600 attempts to scrape data from Alibaba's Amap mapping service between September 28 and October 8, 2026. This marks the first documented case of researchers tracking down and interacting with uncontrolled AI agents operating in the wild.
