Abbott Laboratories to spin off nutrition unit amid baby formula lawsuits
Abbott announced plans to separate its nutrition business, which includes Similac infant formula, into a publicly traded company. The unit has been at the center of years of litigation over management of a baby formula facility where deadly bacteria was found.
