FDA approves AbbVie's Juvmo, first D1/D5 dopamine agonist for Parkinson's disease

The FDA has approved Juvmo (tavapadon), the first and only dopamine agonist designed to selectively target D1/D5 receptors for treating adults with Parkinson's disease. The once-daily oral tablet can be taken with or without levodopa therapy and came from AbbVie's $8.7 billion acquisition of Cerevel Therapeutics.
