Yemen's government announces military offensive to retake Houthi-held territory
Yemen's Saudi-backed Presidential Leadership Council head Rashad al-Alimi announced the start of major military operations aimed at seizing territory controlled by Iran-backed Houthis. The offensive comes as Houthis have recently captured the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and cut supply routes to besieged cities.
