Aptos launches encrypted mempool feature to combat MEV attacks
Layer-1 blockchain Aptos has launched an encrypted mempool feature on mainnet that allows users to hide pending transaction details until validators finalize their order, protecting traders from maximal extractable value (MEV) attacks including frontrunning and sandwich attacks. The system uses threshold encryption with validators collectively decrypting transactions.
