New weight-loss drug helps diabetes patients lose a quarter of their body weight

Retatrutide shows substantial weight loss in type 2 diabetes patients in phase III trial

The investigational triple agonist retatrutide demonstrated significant weight loss and improved glycemic control in adults with obesity and type 2 diabetes in the TRIUMPH-2 phase III trial, with some participants losing up to a quarter of their body weight. Results were presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes annual meeting in Milan and published in The Lancet.
