Iraqi PM Ali al-Zaidi makes historic visit to Syria, meets Ahmed al-Sharaa in Damascus
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi arrived in Damascus for the first visit by an Iraqi leader to Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad, meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. The leaders discussed economic cooperation, energy ties including Iraqi oil exports through Syrian pipelines, and security coordination between the neighboring countries.
