CFTC proposes voluntary federal registration for crypto exchanges
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission introduced a proposal offering offshore cryptocurrency exchanges a voluntary federal registration pathway. CFTC Chairman Michael Selig cited the Binance hack as evidence for the need for stronger US oversight of international platforms.
