US Treasury designates Iran's digital asset sector as sanctionable under new economic campaign
The US Treasury's OFAC issued a sectoral determination allowing it to sanction any person worldwide who operates in Iran's digital asset sector, as part of Treasury Secretary Bessent's 'Operation Economic Outcast' targeting Iran's economy through crypto, gold, shipping and technology sectors.
