MI5 chief Ken McCallum warns AI could enable development of bioweapons
In his annual threat assessment speech, MI5 Director General Sir Ken McCallum warned that artificial intelligence has the potential to "change the stakes" on bioweapons development by terrorists and hostile states. The warning comes as MI5 launches a new AI Threat Assessment Centre to counter emerging security risks.
