Ethereum Economic Zone completes first atomic transaction between L1 and L2 on mainnet
The Ethereum Economic Zone framework has successfully processed its first atomic transaction linking Ethereum mainnet with a layer-2 network, transferring 0.001 ETH while coordinating state changes across both layers simultaneously. The milestone test was announced October 5-6, 2026, by the rollup framework built by Gnosis and Zisk with Ethereum Foundation co-funding.
