FHFA director Bill Pulte slashes inspector general budget, forcing 80% staff cuts
The Federal Housing Finance Agency's inspector general office warned that last-minute budget cuts imposed by FHFA Director Bill Pulte will force the office to slash staff by up to 80% and discontinue its mortgage fraud watchdog operations.
