Federal judge blocks Education Department from publishing university foreign donor names
US District Judge Tanya Chutkan issued a temporary restraining order blocking the Department of Education from publicly disclosing the names of foreign donors who provided billions in gifts to American universities. The ruling came after universities argued they had supplied the information under the understanding it would remain confidential.
