Michigan attorney general sues Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for alleged monopolization
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel filed a federal antitrust lawsuit against Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, alleging the insurer illegally monopolized the state's health insurance market and drove up costs. The company, which holds approximately 65% of Michigan's health insurance market, says it was blindsided by the suit and disputes the claims.
