India Supreme Court orders panel to examine rules curbing unethical drug marketing to doctors
India's Supreme Court has directed the federal government to form an expert committee within two weeks to examine whether drugmakers should be governed by statutory rules to curb unethical marketing practices, including gifts, freebies, and incentives to doctors. The court will review compliance in January 2027.
