Starknet opens vote on potential transition from Ethereum layer 2 to independent layer 1

Starknet initiated a non-binding seven-day vote asking STRK holders whether the network should explore becoming an independent, quantum-resistant layer 1 blockchain instead of remaining an Ethereum layer 2. The vote does not approve the switch itself.
