Italy convicts three Egyptian officials in absentia for 2016 kidnapping of Giulio Regeni
An Italian court convicted three Egyptian security officials in absentia for the 2016 kidnapping of student Giulio Regeni, whose tortured body was found days after his disappearance in Cairo. The officials were sentenced to 10 years in prison.
