UK threatens visa ban on Eritrea over refusal to accept deportations
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has warned that all entry for Eritreans to the UK will be halted unless Eritrea agrees to accept the return of criminals and irregular migrants. The UK has already imposed travel restrictions on Eritrean diplomats and stripped them of access to fast-track visa systems, with Eritrea's government dismissing the move as a "political gimmick."
