Yorkshire patients say AI GP receptionist EMMA can't understand their accents
Patients in Rotherham are reporting that EMMA, an AI receptionist system deployed by the NHS to reduce phone waiting times, is unable to understand their Yorkshire accents. QuantumLoopAI, the system's developer, acknowledged the concerns and said there can be an adjustment period with new technology.
