Tech industry mobilizes crypto and aid for Nepal disaster relief as rebuilding costs reach $5 billion
Following deadly flash floods in Nepal that killed over 1,200 people and left 4,200 missing, the tech industry has launched multiple relief efforts. Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal initiated a cryptocurrency donation campaign for Nepal's official disaster fund, NVIDIA CEO donated $10 million, and international aid including Australian drone specialists has been deployed as the country faces an estimated $5 billion in rebuilding costs.
