Egypt announces major archaeological discoveries including Byzantine-era city in western desert

Egyptian archaeologists have unveiled two significant finds: a well-preserved fourth-century Byzantine residential city with religious structures in the western desert, and ancient tombs near Alexandria. Additional excavations at the Bahariya Oasis temple complex revealed new inscriptions of Pharaoh Psamtik I.
