Aviva Investors has launched a tokenized share class of its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger after receiving approval from Irish regulators, marking a significant institutional adoption of blockchain technology for traditional asset management.
The XRP Ledger added approximately $2.6 billion in tokenized real-world assets (excluding stablecoins) over the past six months, achieving the second-highest RWA inflow among blockchain networks according to RWA.xyz data, with total value exceeding $4 billion.
According to XRPL AI Hub data cited by Finbold, the XRP Ledger had recorded 1,434,517 agentic transactions through the x402 Protocol as of July 22, 2026, up approximately 127% since launch. The service was supported by 129 merchants, while XRP and Ripple USD (RLUSD) had been used to settle agentic payments for services including trading data, APIs and computing resources.
Ripple and Bitso are expanding their payments partnership by integrating Bitso's Mexican peso-backed stablecoin MXNB onto the XRP Ledger's decentralized exchange, targeting regulated liquidity for cross-border settlement in the US-Mexico corridor.
Ripple released the XRPL AI Starter Kit on Wednesday, enabling developers to build AI agents that can autonomously send and receive payments using XRP and RLUSD on the XRP Ledger. The launch coincides with Mastercard naming Ripple as a partner in its Agent Pay for Machines initiative.
