Crypto payment platform MoonPay has added Discover Network as its third major U.S. card network, alongside Visa and Mastercard. The integration allows eligible Discover Network cards to be used for cryptocurrency purchases and sales through MoonPay, while MoonPay said U.S. cardholders can buy thousands of supported tokens, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana.
MoonPay introduced the MoonAgents Card, a stablecoin debit card enabling AI agents to spend directly from self-custodied wallets at any Mastercard merchant. The card links onchain wallets to traditional payment rails without requiring preloading or moving assets offchain.
MoonPay has acquired crypto key management firm Sodot in a $100 million stock deal and launched a new institutional business division led by former CFTC Acting Chair Caroline Pham. The acquisition provides security infrastructure for MoonPay's expansion into serving banks, asset managers, and trading firms.
