Hunter Biden announced he will debut the 'LAPTOP' memecoin on September 9, named after his controversial laptop, while openly teasing a possible 2028 presidential bid. The moves mirror tactics associated with Donald Trump, including cryptocurrency ventures and social media-driven political messaging.
Conservative podcaster Tucker Carlson alleged that Israeli figures provided him with false information claiming Hunter Biden's laptop contained graphic images of children. The claims were made during an interview with Hunter Biden, who referenced a 'Netanyahu operation centre' being involved in disseminating alleged leaks.
Hunter Biden launched a cryptocurrency memecoin called $LAPTOP referencing his laptop controversy, but the token crashed shortly after debut. Blockchain analysts traced $2.08 million in token sales to a Wintermute-linked wallet that received 2.5 million tokens from the team allocation, while Biden blamed "predatory snipers" for the collapse.
