Ratko Mladic, the former Bosnian Serb military chief convicted of genocide for his role in the 1995 Srebrenica massacre, has died in UN detention in The Hague. He was serving a life sentence.

ICC chief Tomoko Akane urges Japan to counter US campaign against court
