Uber and Pony.ai to deploy 2,000 robotaxis across Europe and Middle East

Uber is expanding its partnership with Chinese autonomous vehicle company Pony.ai to launch more than 2,000 self-driving taxis across five European markets and the Middle East. The expansion follows Pony.ai's successful robotaxi operations in Zagreb, Croatia through Verne, and comes after the company achieved city-level profitability in China.
