Turing Award winner Richard Sutton leaves Keen Technologies to launch Oak Lab, focusing on autonomous learning AI agents
Richard Sutton, 2024 Turing Award winner and reinforcement learning pioneer, has founded Oak Lab in Toronto after departing from John Carmack's Keen Technologies. The startup aims to build AI agents that learn continuously from their environment, challenging what Sutton calls the 'weak and inefficient' methods of current deep learning.
