Federal Reserve requests comment on GENIUS Act stablecoin proposals
The Federal Reserve requested public comment on September 24, 2026 on two proposed frameworks for Board-supervised payment stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act. The proposals address reserves, capital, risk management, safekeeping and bank applications; they are not final rules.
