EU proposes 21st sanctions package against Russia, targeting banks and military industry
The European Union has proposed its 21st package of sanctions against Russia over the war in Ukraine, targeting the country's banks, cryptocurrency networks, drone production, oil traders and refiners. The package includes 80 proposed listings aimed at Russia's military industrial complex, human rights violators and propagandists, adding to what the EU estimates is a $1.5 trillion cumulative economic hit on Russia.
