US Treasury lifts sanctions on Iraqi airline Fly Baghdad and two aircraft previously linked to Iran's IRGC
The U.S. Treasury Department removed counter-terrorism sanctions from Iraq's Fly Baghdad Airlines and two of its aircraft that were imposed in 2024 over alleged links to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force, citing changes in the airline's behavior. The airline's owner, Basheer Al-Shabbani, remains under active U.S. sanctions.
