Cosmos ecosystem shaken by 40 BTC Nomic exploit that went undetected for 74 days
An attacker minted over 40 BTC worth of nBTC out of thin air on Nomic on June 25, but Osmosis took 74 days to discover the exploit, which left allBTC 36% unbacked. The incident contributed to an 8.3% decline in ATOM price amid shaken investor confidence.
