Britain has designated Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and banned support for the group, citing its connection to a series of antisemitic attacks on Jewish sites in the UK. The government also banned the Islamic Movement of the Guardians, described as an Iran-backed proxy group responsible for arson and vandalism targeting the British Jewish community.
Britain sanctioned 12 individuals and entities linked to Iran, accusing them of involvement in hostile activity including plotting attacks and providing financial services to groups seeking to destabilize the region.
International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Karim Khan disclosed that members of the court's governing body attempted to remove him from office, describing it as a 'dangerous' effort. Khan also detailed a 2024 call in which UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron allegedly threatened the ICC over potential arrest warrants for Israeli officials.
The Iranian Embassy in London posted on its official Telegram, urging "proud Iranian compatriots" in the UK to join its "Jan Fada" (self-sacrifice) campaign; launched at the start of the US-Iran war. The UK Foreign Office summoned Iran's ambassador, condemning the posts as "completely unacceptable and inflammatory" and demanding the embassy cease any communications that could be interpreted as encouraging violence on British or international soil.
