Treasury releases rules for nation's first federal school voucher program
The Trump administration released regulations Thursday for a new federal tax credit program that allows married couples to receive up to $3,400 in credits for donations funding private school and homeschooling scholarships. Nearly all schoolchildren in at least 30 states will be eligible to apply for the scholarships, with the Treasury estimating more than 11 million taxpayers will contribute a combined $26 billion annually.
