GLP-1 weight loss drugs linked to nail detachment and hair loss in new study
A multinational study found that people taking GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound were more than four times as likely to experience nail detachment, along with elevated rates of hair loss and scalp inflammation. Researchers determined that weight loss alone could not fully explain these side effects.
