Zealand Pharma's petrelintide shows 9.2% weight loss in Phase 2 obesity trial
Zealand Pharma announced positive Phase 2 ZUPREME-2 trial results for its amylin analog petrelintide, which achieved up to 9.2% mean body weight reduction at week 28 versus 2.0% with placebo in people with overweight or obesity and type 2 diabetes. The drug also demonstrated HbA1c reduction of up to 0.65% versus an increase of 0.23% with placebo.
