Evercrest sues LayerZero over $292 million rsETH bridge exploit

Evercrest Technologies, developer of KelpDAO, filed a civil claim in British Columbia against LayerZero Labs, its Canadian entity, and CEO Bryan Pellegrino over the April 2026 rsETH bridge exploit that caused roughly $292 million in losses. The lawsuit alleges LayerZero failed to disclose technical vulnerabilities and endorsed the setup used in the exploit.

LayerZero Labs and Keeta announced a partnership to make tokenized commercial bank money natively transferable across Ethereum, Solana, Base, and the Keeta Network. Keeta Stablecoins will be backed by commercial bank deposits held through Bivo, a U.S.-licensed financial technology platform, and are scheduled to become available later in July 2026 in nine currencies.
