MediaTek unveiled its Dimensity 9600 Pro and 9600M flagship mobile processors, built on TSMC's cutting-edge 2nm manufacturing technology. The chips feature LPDDR6 RAM support, UFS 5.0 storage, a 12-core Mali G2 Ultra NX GPU with ray tracing, and dual NPU capabilities, positioning MediaTek in direct competition with Qualcomm.
Qualcomm announced a long-term partnership with Amazon Web Services to supply up to $60 billion worth of AI data center chips and related products. As part of the deal, Amazon received warrants to purchase approximately $4 billion in Qualcomm stock, marking Qualcomm's first major Western hyperscaler customer as it challenges Nvidia in AI infrastructure.
