Russian Airstrikes Kill at Least Seven Across Ukraine

Apr 25, 2026

Russian drone and missile strikes killed at least seven people and injured over 30 across Ukraine overnight, with five deaths occurring in Dnipro when an apartment building was hit and two in Chernihiv. Russia launched more than 600 drones in the attack, though Ukrainian authorities repelled the vast majority, while rescue workers searched for survivors in Dnipro on Saturday morning. Ukraine retaliated with drone strikes on Yekaterinburg, almost 1,000 miles inside Russia, injuring six people. British Typhoon jets were scrambled from Romania when Russian drones were detected near the border, though the UK Ministry of Defence clarified no drones were shot down as they did not breach Romanian airspace. President Zelensky met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss air defense cooperation, as Saudi Arabia shows renewed interest in Ukraine's drone warfare expertise following recent Iranian attacks.
